I need Ideas for Flames!! anyone got good pic's of our trucks in Flames?? Post here!
Well I am planning a flames paint scheme on the front.. I have always like flames on trucks (when done properly).
I may try to attempt doing it myself, I plan for royal blue and white colours. this is a photo of a paint job I did when i was a kid. I had a summer job at the airport and the maintenance guy went away on vacation - so I blinged out his tool cart before he got back! the front used to be all yellow, but he made me change it (said it attracted bugs) as you can see I need better skills then I currently have.. if you are curious it is actually John Deere yellow and Massey Furgeson Red.

I'm looking for the same thing. I'm making my first attempt at flames on a go cart for a friend's kid. These pics help alot, but about a year ago someone posted a link that had several styles of flames. From what I remember, they were black and white drawings that you could print. Does anyone else remember it?

i'm a big fan of ghost flames. they're plenty flashy, yet subtle at the same time.

I like the flame paint that actually looks like the truck is on fire.

Not hardly a truck, but an example of two sets of ghost flames.Would be awesome on a truck:
Here`s a hot tow truck. Not the best flames, but another way to run them: This one again.Another approach to flames:

Something fishy about that last one.

Re: I need Ideas for Flames!! anyone got good pic's of our trucks in Flames?? Post h
My truck has pearl ghost flames. Very subtle effect until the light hits them at a certain angle or at night under flourescent lighting. Notice in the side pic the flames look lighter than the body color but in the hood pic they look darker than the body. The flip-flop effect is neat with pearls . I had the last six inches of the tips dusted with silver sparkle but it's impossible to get a pic of it. Hope this helps.

Re: I need Ideas for Flames!! anyone got good pic's of our trucks in Flames?? Post here!
That's his name. I knew his first name was Mike. Anyways, I have seen a few different car shows that featured his painting skills. I believe it was Rides, but he did a duelling paint show that him and a women went against each other. They had matching Pontaic G6 cars. The woman went all futuristic and Mike went all ancient Egyptian with the car engulfed in flames. The both were cool, but Mike's was better. Awesome work he does.

I love the "fire" type flames. Next on my list are the ghost types (a few examples already posted).
