Re: Deal or No Deal?

Don't look too bad to me, as long as he has the centercaps, and the tire wear is even. well now I see the penny, looks like there is about 2-3 32nds of tread before you hit wear bars, tires are 75-80 % worn. The top of Lincolns head is 2/32 and at the wear bars. I'd probably pass.

Re: Deal or No Deal?

I guess for me anyway, it would depend on how badly I wanted the wheels, and how much I drove my truck. Shipping won't be cheap.

Re: Deal or No Deal?

Figure about another $100 for shipping. So they'd really come to about $450.

Re: Deal or No Deal?

With no center caps and worn tires that seems high, especially if you have to ship them.

Most rally wheels I have seen posted for sale go for around $200 with caps and rings, but no tires.

You can buy new reproduction Corvette Rally wheels with center caps and trim rings on eBay for $349. And shipping without tires is much more reasonable. I just bought a set and shipping is costing my $100 to Northern Canada.

Re: Deal or No Deal?

I bought "knock offs" off ebay with cheapie chrome rings and plastic center caps for $350. The new BFG tires were right at another $400.

If it wasn't for shipping, I'd say go for it... but if shipping is high, I think you could do better

I got a set of pretty nice rallies already but I'm looking at about $400 for the radial t/a's. So I figured that this might work out BUT if the tires are looking to be 75% worn, then its not such a great deal.

Re: Deal or No Deal?

I would pass on those man. Are those vette rallys, if so isnt the bolt pattern different?

I recently put a set of wheels/tires on my Blazer for $496. I bought a set of radial t/a 275/60/15s from discounttiredirect to my door for $386, picked up 2 more 15x8 rallys at the local pull-a-part for $25, ordered 2 cans of rally wheel paint from one of my truck catalogs for $15, a set of rally caps off Ebay for $40 and had a local used tire store mount and balance the tires on the freshly painted wheels for $30. Considering I recently spent $650 on just four tires for my daily driver I say $496 was a deal!

Rallys look cool but not when youre sitting on the side of the road with a blowout.

Re: Deal or No Deal?

I paid $100.00 bucks for 4 15 X 8 with center caps and rims. NO tires. They needed paint but for the price they were a steal. Shop around some, I wouldn't give $350.00 for um'.

Re: Deal or No Deal?

Passing. I'm just gonna stick with the rallies I got and pony up the $$ for a set of new radial t/a's. At least that way, I know what I'm getting.

Re: Deal or No Deal?

5 or 6 lug ralleys are plentiful and cheap, wouldn't pay over 40 bucks each. You should find 'em at a local swap meet and avoid shippin'.

Re: Deal or No Deal?

Do they have the truck bolt pattern 5X5, or the car bolt pattern 5X4.75? I didnt see anyone ask & dont want to see you not get what you wanted...

Just reread the whole thread. Nevermind.
