Battery Drain

I have had a battery drain, and I think I narrowed it down to the Horn Relay thanks to this site. My question is... do I just replace the relay or do I still search for an exposed short in the horn wiring?

Re: Battery Drain

I would suggest disconnecting the large red wire to the alternator to see if the problem goes away. The alternator diodes can back feed into anything that has battery voltage to it causing some strange shorts.

Re: Battery Drain

Unplug the black wire to relay. If drain goes away the black wire is grounded somewhere between there and the horn button.
