New Daily Driver
Well I changed daily drivers finally.
I bought a 94 cavalier last sept. for $300. put a new head on it and have been driving it since. Here's the good part: Two weeks ago I was at a buddies and he asked if I wanted to trade my car for one of his ole chevy's. Sure who wouldn't I picked this: it's a 1972 GMC with factory a/c, 3:73 posi and originally came with 350/350. He said all he wanteds was the 400 sb out of it, sure no problem, he was even willing to give me an engine to replace it if i will change it. Great! we spent the next 2 weekends swapping it out, it had a 700r4 i gave it back to him and put in one of my th350 instead. Finally get it running and take it to the tag office to register it with my brand new 1972 plate i picked up at the swap meet. Get almost there and it blows the entire contents(i think) of oil all over the road somewhere between stops. I have a buddy bring me some heavier weight oil thinking it must have just burned all the oil, didnt know it was leaking at this time. I start cranking it up and you can literally watch the oil run out of the back of the engine. so we tow it home. The engine was out of a newer pickup, 86 or newer it had the one-piece rear seal and stupid passenger side dipstick. Well now time to build a new engine. well there's my intro to my nw truck and rant all in one. Here's the strat of the new heartbeat. Freshly bored .030 350 the heads are stock 72-73 heads and going in with flat-top pistons. Will start a build thread in the engine/drivetrain area

Re: New Daily Driver
If you traded a 94 cav. with a new head on it for that truck you better start playing the lottery too. I think there is some pretty good luck rollin your way. Too bad about the engine though. I would still consider myself lucky to have made that swap. RJ22

Re: New Daily Driver
Not for sure but I think an early 90's chevy.
I know one thing the are real comfortable, if only there was more room behind the tank like there would be without the tank. I like to recline a little while driving these are str8 up and down

I have already spent $600.00 on the motor stuff in the 72 gmc. My 72 chevy cost me $700.00 and it wasnt even worth driving.

Re: New Daily Driver
I'd rather be pushing that truck than driving the Cavalier.

Re: New Daily Driver
I love those rocker arm adjustment oil deflectors, I'm going to have to make a set for myself.

Re: New Daily Driver
I thought they were some new kind of trick see-through valve covers.
