Drive shaft swap....

So,my 71 didnt have the front driveshaft when I got it and I have a complete driveshaft from another truck and was wondering if it will work on the 71.The truck the d-shaft came off of was a 69 4wd that had a Rockwell T case. And I want it to connect to my 205....So is everything (CV joints, ect) the same, will it all interchange? Are they the same length?

Re: Drive shaft swap....

The Rockwell shaft is too short. You'll need to get it re-tubed 2 inches longer if you're going to use it with the 205. Other than that, they are the same and will work.
