94 amp alt
okay I was going to go to the 1 wire alternator, but the parts store sold me on this 94 amp alternator. Looks to connect the same way, only I will have to change the pigtail on the end.I am unsure and forgot to ask while I was there if this alt. had an internal regualtor. If it does will it hurt anything to run with my exernal. How can I tell?

Re: 94 amp alt
okay so if the new alternator has the internal regualtor then I need to disconnect the external requlator completely or do the jumper wires? if I leave the externalregualtor plugged in the truck is charging at about 14 and if I unplug it it is charging at 11
is that normal? Still need to figure out for sure if the new alt has the internal reg, or not. |
