Rocker panels
The rockers seem to have been replaced on my 69 GMC.
There is a gap between the seam the door rubber sits on and the floor. I think the gap is normal, but there is no bottom in the gap is this normal? I am worried about dirt and crap falling down inside of the rocker panels and then collecting moisture and then RUST! Has something been done incorrectly, or am I once again misunderstanding something?

Re: Rocker panels
Look under your truck and see if their is a back to your rockers or is it open. The back plate of the rocker normaly has the bottom to the gap that you are talking about. I guess alot of these get left out when people replace their rockers.
I think some were on this board is the How-to posts. I did one last year I think it was on how to build your own inner rocker. Look this thread up and it will show you how yours should look or what is missing. Kevin LFD Inc. |

Re: Rocker panels
My rockers are not open on the bottom.
If something drops into this cap is stays in the rockers.
