found perfect seats for blazer, just need to find some now...

maybe someone can help? they are Saab 9-3 Convertible seats, 2004-current model. These seats are perfect for a blazer! I investigated them while my saab was in for routine service yesterday, and since then i've searched exhaustively for a set, to no avail.

Does anyone work at or near a foreign auto salvage place? any Ideas? A brand new set from the dealer's parts inventory would run about $6k! Does anyone work for a GM parts counter that could advise me?

I'll see if I can find pics. The reason they are perfect is because they have integrated 3-point seat belts. They are typically heated. The fold-forward release lever is on the top, near the seat belt, and when you release it forward far enough the motorized seat moves forward (or back) on its tracks. it's very cool, comfortable, and what better seats to go into a convertible than ones from a convertible!

ok, found some. very difficult to see, but there is a silver lever behind the top seat belt mount that flips the seat forward and then it slides forward for rear access. I'd like to find a set that i can reupholster in original style houndstooth material, and remove the head rests. not sure if i can come up with a set, though.

They do sound and look perfect...but they would be worth 3 times what my Blazer is worth.

yes, i've seen a few salvage sets, and they seem to typically go for less than the ones out of trailblazers and silverados/yukons, so i'm optimistic. There just aren't very many of them around, and even fewer that are wrecked.

I'm starting to wonder if some of the seats are the same, or at least relatively close to their other GM relatives. The 9-3 shares the same platform as the pontiac G6, malibu, one of the new saturns, an opel, and a few other GM products. I'll have to take a look at it that way.
