Need some opinions
Well here are a few pics of my truck before and a pic of a truck with the color my 68 will be. My question is, in the old pics the grill area is painted silver and the grill accent bars are painted black to match. I was wanting to do the same theme with the blue (silver grill area with accent bars painted blue with chrome headlight bezels). I'm starting to second guess myself now. I was staring at the front a Dodge truck at Sonic the other night with the painted grill and chrome bars in the grill. I'm starting to think it would look better with the grill area painted body color with chrome headlight bezels and chrome grill accents (I do mean chrome steel stuff, not the polished and clear anodized aluminum).
What do some of you guys think? BTW before any of you say it, the truck isn't going back black. I've already bought the blue paint.

Re: Need some opinions
Check his links. Suuuweet truck. Why go blue? The black looks pretty neat.
I know its just me, but the '68 hood just looks so cool.

Re: Need some opinions
Well, I don't know if this helps, but here is mine with the chrome grill. Also, not in the picture I have chrome headlight bezels, and I haven't put the chrome bumper on yet. When I bought this truck it had a painted silver grill and painted silver bezels. It looked okay, but for me I put new everything on this truck and I wanted it to shine from every place possible. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so it's not really what we like, it's what you like. Good luck!

Re: Need some opinions
go for the blue even though the black is nice as hell, but leave the grill parts that are black, black and add even more to it, becuase theyll stand out black on the blue and it wont be chrome like everybodies

Re: Need some opinions
I vote go back black!
J/K I could not help myself. I do like the black but, That blue color is almost the same as my Wide Glide and my brother in law is painting his GTO that same dodge blue in a couple of weeks. To be honest I like all body color then shiney inserts but as stated above the black may look ok also. |

Re: Need some opinions
All body-color works too (especially when your chrome ones are all dinged-up and you can't afford to buy new ones).

Re: Need some opinions
I may have to!
I believe I may just paint the grill body color with chrome accent peices. I'm afraid the silver may not accent the blue as well as it did the black.

Re: Need some opinions
That's a nice color blue but I gotta say your truck looks bad (the good kind of bad) in black. I'd leave it.
