69-72 Blazer gas tank ito a 65 C-10

I got the kit and dont know what all the inlets/outlets are for. Theres like a total of 5. I'm not totally sold on this tank. How low is it gonna hang? Anyone got pics? My truck is dropped 6' in the rear. Will I have any issues? Do I have to whack a crossmember? Help me decide, Thanks.

Here are a few pics of mine. They don't show much but the tank is in.. No ground clearance pics.. I have a 4" drop and have about 8" of clearance to the ground.. You can just plug up the vent holes and the only one you will probably need is the one next to the fill pipe.. The pics will not load but you can see them here... http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f2.../The%20Trucks/ Just scroll down a bit...

Good Q. How did you do the filler neck? I think I 'm gonna get a Boat or rat rod style cap and come right through the bed wood. Keep it simple

Thats a good idea..using the boat fill. I bought two new ones for my jet-boat...so I'll save one for the 'Chief'

I was debating doing that tank conversion as well...to give me some room for speakers behind the seat.

Man, I saw one of these tanks in a 67-72 model somewhere on this site and it sure hung low. You could REALLY see it, but the truck wasn't that low. With a 6" rear drop, I wonder if it'll be visible?

I have the bed sitting on my truck.. I can try and get a picture of it but it is kind of hard in the garage. The engine is not in yet and I am pretty far from that I think...

I got mine installed with a 4" rear drop. No clearance issues at all. Modified the step side fender for gas fill with a door and fill tube from a Suburban.

Looks real good, Bro. Did you have to whack a crossmember? When I hook it up, I got a wire to the sender, a ground wire, a fuel fill hose, out to engine fuel line and a vent hose somewhere, right? Then I need to plug up all remaining ports, right? Do I have my intel correct? Also, what about the fuel pump? Will relocating the tank farther away have any affect on the fuel pump?

if you get a tank with the sending unit, it comes with a ground wire, just needs bolted on the frame somewhere.

I'm in the process of putting one in (as soon as weather permits), and it looks like I'll have to notch a bed crossmember or whatever you call it.
