tie rods - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Is the tie rod on a 3/4 ton the same as a 1/2 ton, I am assuming they are the same. Also why do some want to know the length of one, I thought they were all same length, What do I know?

They are different, at least according to the catalogs. Im guessing you are dealling with a 71-72, from your avatar. The adjuster sleeves are listed as the same between 1/2 and 3/4, but the inner and outter tie rods are different. I dont know why they would ask about the length. Hope this helps and good luck.
