72 C10 Gas Tank??

Anyone have a lead where I can get a gas tank for a 72 C10 with EEC?? The cheapest I have found is $129 + shipping from LMC. Is that the best I am going to do - or is there anouther place that would be less expensive?
Thanks

Re: 72 C10 Gas Tank??

How about a good price on a new one - is LMC the lowest - I have checked everywhere I can think of and that what it looks like to me.

$129 + shipping sounds good to me! Sometimes chevy dealers still have items such as these still in stock--have you checked?

Re: 72 C10 Gas Tank??

$125 sounds fair, here's another http://www.truckandcarshop.com/trucks60_72/t60_078.html @ $155

www.truckandcarshop.com is one of the lowest prices around on a majority of stuff so you pick. GMCPauls.com is a vendor and has great customer support, not a lot of good reviews on the customer support from LMC (check review threads in this forum). You get what you pay for most of the time!

Not sure if montana has many swapmeets or car shows but the price is usually better and no shipping.

A lot of guys take this opportunity to install the rear blazer tank upgrade. $100-$750+ depending on what you want though (steel, poly, aluminum, stainless)

Re: 72 C10 Gas Tank??

does it need to be the stock tank?

you can get a 25 or 27 gallon blazer tank for pretty close to $50 shipped, if you are interested in moving your tank out of the cab...

do a search for a thread i started "diesel tanks" I posted a link there.
