quadrajet rods and jets suggestions
i am currently building a vortec headed 350 and im going to use a quadrajet off of a late 70s v8 (carb no. 17056244). the carb was on a 307 and had thick second rods. i assume the whole carb was made for a low performance engine. my question is what kind primary rods and jets should i buy for this carb and who might sell them. i already have a set of conciderably thinner secondaries im going to use. the 350 has vortec heads, .440/.440 212/212 cam, cyclone intake, and longtube headers. i dont want to burn the valves up with too lean of rods and jets. what do yall think?
