I really like 1,2,and 3 because seems like everytime I use those tools that is the result I get.

Whitworth is the old British standard. My dad has some Whitworth sockets for his BSA. The sizes are based upon the diameter of the bolt rather than the head; it's pretty confusing if you ask me.
