lucky week!
well my last week has been filled with good fortune, it started the end of last week i took 1st in the south dakota division of Skills USA automotive technician (where technical institute students compete against each other) now i get to go to Kansas city and compete against top students from other states,
that was the start of my good luck this weekend i came home and put my freshly rebuilt carb on my c-10 and it works great again cause i found the problem why it wouldn't idle(vaccuum advance diaphram leaking, and vaccuum secondary linkage bent), well my grandfathers' brother-in-law at my parents house so i stopped in and talked to him a while and he mentioned that he has a 68 chevy longbox fleet side that i can come and get one of these days when i have extra time , it runs, has inline 6 motor, 2 wd i told it sounded like a plan so now i have my next c-10 project oh and i found my camera so i'll post pics of my 69 step side in the morning |

Re: lucky week!
looks like your on your way to a great career..
Family vehicles are the best, .. 1. free or close to it,... 2. you have access to all the family photos of relatives WITH your 'new' truck,,.. 3. Your truck stays in the family, start a new photo page for the next generation..... good going,.. -41-

Re: lucky week!
Congrats, I was once a competitor in Collision Refinish Technology in VICA/SkillsUSA and didn't do too bad (All 3 competitors in CRT were from Lincoln High in Sioux Falls). My buddy won SD in CRT and loved the national competition, so you will enjoy it.

Re: lucky week!
Congrats from another South Dakotan! I am sure you will have fun at the competition. When I was in high school me and my partner won the High School AAA Auto competition and got to go to DC to compete. It was a great time.
