bag
I have a 70 gmc lwb i am thinking abut bagging. Right now it has a 6 7 drop. I would like to to ride atleast that low. ill show a pic at the end. But would like it to go down a little when parked. I DONT want it to lay rocker or frame. I dont care if the crossmember hits the ground when bags are layed out. I do have a few thing i would like to have.
A kit, front and rear or seperate. i dont want to piece parts togther I would like it to be bolt in mainly, little welding and no serious modding of frame. a good reliable kit. thanks guys and pics would be awesome. Also i have leaves in the rear now. was thinking about gettin a crossmember that the arms connect to and new trailing arms if i could just put the bags on those, Last edited by 70stroker; 04-11-2007 at 04:00 AM. |

Re: bag
I would look into converting from leaf springs, to trailing arms. there are plenty of aftermarket kits that do this as a bolt in, or you if could find an old chevy that has trailing arms and just take out the trailing arms and crossmembers and use them on yours, then it is an easy bag install. most of this could be a bolt-in

Re: bag
If you're willing to go through all the trouble to switch to trailing arms, I would recommend just 4-linking it instead. You'll be happier in the end.
In terms of a "kit", I'd go to ***************** and they have a "build your own kit". That's what I did. They ship quickly, have good product and great customer service, and all for the right price.

Re: bag
As far as simplicity goes thats about as easy and as close to "bolt on" as you can get. Add the suicide doors front kit and that's the bulk of what you will need.

You can go all the way to the ground if you want. How much ground do you want? Frame? Pinch welds? Doors? I'm sure if you wanted, you could shorten the doors and get it even lower if you have the $$$.
