How to hook up sidemarker lights?
The 69's sidemarkers are not hooked up to wiring? What do I need to do to get them working? Should they blink w/ the turnsignals or stay on like the park lamps? Thanks in advance.

Re: How to hook up sidemarker lights?
some blinked, some did not. I did a poll on here 3 years ago or so, and found absolutly no rhyme nor reason as to why some do and some don't.
it's easiest to wire for constant on, just tap into the parking light circuit... the brown wire, and then ground the other wire onthe pigtail. Doesn't matter which wire you use. To make the front ones blink, you'll need to run the ground wire from the light/pigtail, and hook it to the other wire that goes to the turn signals up front. What this does, is when the turn signal is off, the light will ground through that circuit, but when it gets poer (turn signal turened on) the ground is removed, turning off the side marker. it will blink oposing the front. |

Re: How to hook up sidemarker lights?
My Dad's '72 and mine both had them wired from the factory with one wire to the park light and one to the turn. Sounds goofy but it works. My dad's is still a one owner, so we know it came from the factory that way. It will be constant on with park and blink with the turn. Also, watch the front and side lights as they blink together without park lights then opposite with park.
