shaved cowl and wipers???

I am going to have my cowl panel shaved and wanted to still have the wipers and use of the squirters as the truck will be a driver. I would like to shave off the squiter holes as well and try to use something siniliar to a mid 90's chevy astro van style with squirters built into the blades. Is it possible? Has anybody done this , if so share your thoughts. TIA Randy

Re: shaved cowl and wipers???

I've never done this before.

BUT, I bet you could find a van like that in a junkyard somewhere. Snag a wiper and see if it fits on our trucks' wiper arm (the little gear whatsists). Supposing it does, the only other thing you'd have to do is run a hose, right? But that might still require a hole in the cowl.

should be easy to do, just put the wiper on and connect the hose to them, just dont forget to post pics of it when you do it

Re: shaved cowl and wipers???

I plan on using a nozzle from a 99 sable. I replaced the hood on my wifes car and ended up with an extra nozzle, and i realized that it has enough spread, that if i mount it on the rear of the hood on the center ridge, i could use one nozzle for the whole windshield.

I've been waiting for it to warm up so i can test lt, but the snow keeps comming back.

Re: shaved cowl and wipers???

A buddies 91 GMC jimmy has the wipers with squirters built in as well. I haven't tried it but they look like they will fit our trucks.

Re: shaved cowl and wipers???

The hoses and squirter's on my trailblazer are just clipped to the wiper arm should be pretty easy to convert.

Re: shaved cowl and wipers???

It`ll work as long as you have the right length arms/blades.

This would be cool mounted under the scoop on a cowl hood.
