Vent assembly removal

Out here on a Saturday working on the truck, and taking a break. And I feel like a total rookie for posting this as a question, but....

I am going over the truck, replacing the little things needed. One of the windows was in pretty bad shape, so I am rebuilding it. Using the Haynes manual, I 'did' all the steps, but the vent assembly won't move without a lot of elbow grease. So, I reread the instructions, and there is one step that has me stumped.

11-9.5. loosen the inner and outer panel screws which are accessable
through the hole to the rear of the lower vent pivot.

Huh? Went all over the door, and couldn't find this. Is this a note for a later model? What am I missing? All other steps went by the book.

I have a 72 k5.

Thanks,
Greg
