Re: tips
unless you get whistle tips, which sound gay, or echo chainbers... thetips won't do much at all.

Re: tips
Echo tips help a lot, they deepen the noise up a little and sound sweet.

Re: tips
I was running stright 2 1/2" pipes out the back and thought they looked ugly. So I got some 3 1/2" X 18" stainless steel tips with rolled edges and put them on. Now its got more of a growl and resonance to it.

Re: tips
Most any tip you install will make some difference in how it sounds. The thickness of the metal, rolled lip, straight lip, length of tip, etc do change the sound some.

Re: tips
Tips make a big difference. I had 2" duals and glasspacks on my truck for a long time, angled out behind the rear tires, and when I had a set of 24"x3" tips put on it made a huge difference in the sound. A lot more resonance, a lot louder, and a better sound in general. It is really quite surprising how big of a difference they make.

Re: tips
I think what Andy ment in post #2 is more about cosmetic tips. But I agree that any of the bigger tips like talked about will change things up alittle. THINK megaphone action. Kinda like the coffe cans on ricers but Better.

Re: tips
People still aren't afraid to throw around gay and homo, it's amazing.
Bubb Rubb and Lil Sis!! If you're not from the Bay Area, check this link out to learn more about whistle tips. It's unbelievable what people put on their cars. http://emuse.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/154 Other than tips, you can always drop the exhaust under the bed pointing at the ground. Shorter the distance, before the axle versus after, the louder it is. Point it at the ground under the bed, not only will it be loud, but it will feel loud. And headers, gotta have headers.
