Found a 71 Blazer locally & need some help!

I found a 71 CST Blazer today. It is completely stock, and needs a complete restoration. The truck hasn't been inspected since 03, and seems to be abandoned. Does anyone know how I can find out who owns it, so I can see if I can purchase it? thanks

You could try this:

http://download-update.com/NetDetect...tm?atid=9veh.o

The easiest way to find out who owns it would be to just take the darn thing- you should find out very quickly

get the vin number and go see Liscence bureau. That should get you started. Ask locals. Big thing is if you want it, don't be shy.

The property where the blazer is sitting will be listed with the local county clerk's office for tax purposes--you can go there for a starter. If you can get the plate number or the Vin number, your local DMV can get the name of the last registered owner pretty easy but may or may not give it to you. If you stop by the nearest house, they will probably know who left the old POC there and wish it was gone---may even offer to help you load it onto a trailer!!hehehehehe
