help with belltech
i have bought a sent of beltech drop spindles and got 2400 in a 2500 boxso i phoned the guy i got them from and he brought in a mother set and same thing and both came with 2500 install sheets
its on a 98 chevy 1500 ext cab short box is this the part number stamped on the backside of the spindle? will this part work?( summitweb page says 2400 is for a 88-91)so im guessing not the frist pic is the 2400 pic of summit web page second pic is the 2500 pic of summit the ones i have look like the second pic Last edited by wannabelow; 04-13-2007 at 10:02 PM. |

All Belltech spindles for 88-98 trucks are cast with 2400 in the back of them. The spud that the bearings ride on is different between the 2400 and 2500 part number. They use the same cast body though. You have the right units. Just take a tape measure and check the length of the machined spud on the Belltech versus your stock spindle. If they were wrong, it will be very obvious, like an inch difference. I ran into this exact same deal years ago. It scared me till a phone rep told me what the deal was.

will i put them on after i seen a 90 ext cam dropd and had a look and they were stamped 2400 2 so i did it
