Replied to your PM.
I might be interested in a set of axle shafts though. Is this inner, outer, or both? I know my 44 has one destroyed axle yoke. I'll take a look at it and let ya know.

Re: FS 4x4 Dana44 parts - PA

I have all of the axle shafts for the axles you see. The black one had a needle bearing going out in the spindle and left a few marks on the driver outer shaft. No gouges just marks..

I live about 15 miles from I-81 and hwy 934. I do have others, do you have measurements (tie rod end bolt to tie rod end bolt)?

Re: FS 4x4 Dana44 parts - PA

I have one ready but the tie rod end bolt (ball joint style?) had two threads messed up. I think it could be easily fixed if you want it cheap.

I work 8am - 4 30 pm weekdays but we could work something out.

Mike

Re: FS 4x4 Dana44 parts - PA

A tap and die set could be used to clean up the bum threads. Not sure but you might be able to press a new tie rod end on it as well. I work at I-81 and hwy 934 at Ft. Indiantown Gap, PA. You can have it for $20 if that helps. It will still have the sleeve and other tie rod end as well.

Re: FS 4x4 Dana44 parts - PA

A small file coule be used to clean up the male threads. I would guess(since i have bought) that a tap or die would be more expensive than a new tie rod end.

true, it's only two threads on the end as well. I figured if a fella has access to a tap and die that it would clean it up as well.... You might even be able to force the nut on too.

Is that closed knuckle 6 or 8 lug? if it's 8, do you still have parts to convert my 6 lugger to 8lug?

Re: FS 4x4 Dana44 parts - PA

va tlc: i'll be going to Carlisle but was planning on going on Friday. I could meet you in Harrisburg saturday if that helps. Don't worry about paypal, cash on delivery will work.

1969K10 - I only had that parts to change an open knuckle to 8 lug, it's gone now though. I will look for a Dana44 8 lug or Dana 60 for you though. I would swap entire axles and go for disc brakes myself, actually i'm doing just that.

I've got a disck 8-lug D44 that I can put in. I'm looking for a D60 instead though. Just thought that if you had parts to convert my 6-lug to 8-lug, I'd do that instead of swapping the D44's until I get my D60... THX
