Tabco patch panels
Ok,so I managed to get some tabco patch panels for the 71 4x4 and was wondering if anyone else uses them?They appear to be as thick,or thicker than original so thats a plus.I shall see how their products,as I will probably buy more,will turn out.Im just glad they arent thin metal,and look to fit good in place of the old cab corners,ect

I have used them in the past I think they are thicker than the aftermarket panels available currently made overseas. Tabco was made in the USA back then, I do not know if they are now?

I was just looking at their site,from what I concluded,they still are.They are based from Ohio,and says buy factory direct....plus the little "Made in USA" images in the background

My camera is being repaired so I have no recent pics.The different short fleet bed I just bought is all apart scattered around the shop waiting to be blasted and primered,which I hope to have done in the next few weeks,need to get some more silica and primer first.Im still waiting on a little bit of floor panel and then all the patch panels (tabco of course) can go on the cab.Cab has to be removed and blasted first,then after the patching is done,it will be primered.Hope to stuff the drivetrain in while the body is off so I dont scratch the fire wall up dropping in the motor...The doors are all solid just have a few dents to fix and a "minor" dent in the passenger side fender but then the truck is ready to be sanded...(oh boy,the fun part).Cant beat a 90% original sheet metal truck though,considering the before pics.Hope to have it painted in the fall,a little over 1 year since I started the project

We have sold them but even though everyone likes made in america, When it came down to it we had a harder time selling them because of cost. They are the same thickness as TriPlus on most all parts. Some of the lines when stamped are crisper but for the cost difference. We have installed both and installation is not any different.
