'71 K-10 4x4 LWB: Project Truck in New England -$2500

I tried this in the "trucks for sale" section with absolutly no action - It is basically "parts" right now so I'm listing it here to see if any one is interested.
I don't have the time to finish this truck right now - so I'd rather see it go someone who can finish it.

I have a '71 K-10 (right now it is in pieces). Original A/C

I can give a better description of all the parts if you are seriously interested. Needs typical Patch Panels - Bed is pretty solid - floor has a few dents/waves and has a small spot of rust but, but it can be easily patched. Cab has seen better days - my plan was to replace it with a southern cab.

Chassis is very nice - NO ROT, just surface rust.
Has a Running 250 6cly/TH350(Rebuilt)/NP205, D44 Disc Front end and 12b Rear with 3.08 gears.
Motor is a VERY NICE running '72 with HEI Dizzy (New Cap, Rotor, Wires, Plugs) and has been re-gasketed.

Lots of extra parts go with this truck: I have a set of RUST Free doors and 2 other sets of doors for the guts, All the stuff to put a V8 back in the truck if needed, A set of stock style wheels, a Nice recovered bench seat. I already put new rear universals in the truck, I have the parts to do the front d/shaft universals. I have New Moog Tierods/Drag Link ends. Has new front brakes - needs the rears
$1800 and all the '67-'72 parts that I have.

I have access to a low milage '89 350 4-bolt for another $500 or I can probably scrounge something up if the 6cly doesn't float your boat.

Re: '71 K-10 4x4 LWB: Project Truck in New England -$2500

Am I way out of line on this thing?

Will also consider trades for a PRE 1982 Year chevy truck 2x4 or 4x4, 3/4t or 1/2t. Prefferably something that just needs some mechanical work (ie. tranny, motor, new rear-end, brakes etc.) I DO NOT want to get involved with body work - I just need something to drive/haul some trailers with.

I can deliver for a fee (within a resonable distance of Coventry, RI which will probably be less than a 300mile radius as it isn't my truck or trailer)

Mirrors are N/G - the bolts for the adjustment of the mirror rusted and can't be removed without breaking them.

dna72 - I'd sell the cab, but I would need someone to commit to buying the rolling chassis

NEW PRICE $1800 = I really need a truck to drive that doesn't need body work.

I may consider parting this out if someone is interested in the 4x4 Chassis/Drivetrain.

Hope you can sell it whole, makes it easier BUT if you don't, does it have the offset aircleaner setup (to get around the vacuum booster)? If so, put me in line for that and if not, well this'll TTT

No offset Air-Cleaner. It was an original V8 truck - I put the 6 in cause the V8 had some issues.

I don't understand why I'm not getting any action on this thing - is my price way out of line for a 4x4?
I need to get rid of this thing - I have lost ALL interest in it and don't have the time to finish it right now.

Rust Free Doors - have some dents etc., but are very good for New England stuff.

For me personally, I don't think you are out there.... however, that being said, it's always easier to sell something all together - even if the doors are falling off or you can throw a cat through the wheel well... The "apart" part pushes alot of people away quick.... Also, you are along ways from me and probably 75% of the rest of the board - that being said, your most likely source of a buyer is going to be right close to your area... (I'd also be interested in the power steering pump and brackets on that 6... hahahah) Good Luck and IF you do part it, let me know.

Yeh, My location does suck.

Price goes up if I have to do more work to it though

I can put the doors back on the truck as well as the bed. The interior is sanded out - but I can put the guages back in it. The seat will bolt up - other than that it is pretty much together. It DOES start and drive as is. I've been moving it around sitting on a milk crate.

Re: '71 K-10 4x4 LWB: Project Truck in New England -$2500

i think thats pretty fair for what you have...

about 3 years ago i paid $1800 for my 71 k10 and the body was very similar, junk cab, rusty everything, ect. it did run and drive though. the only thing i would say better about mine was it did have a 350, but it needed rebiult and smoked ALOT... but since your 6 is fresh i guess its better than one that isnt.

good luck

Re: '71 K-10 4x4 LWB: Project Truck in New England -$2500

Nobody? I don't have time for this thing. I need to get something that is already running and driving.

(Unfortunatly this was until I decided to fix a "few" things )

Parts? what are the parts worth? - Rolling K-10 Chassis with Rebuilt TH350/NP 205?

Motor isn't worth much I know (The HEI and PowerSteering Brackets/Pump is worth more than the entire motor )
