U bolt nut size
I'm trying to take the nut off the U bolts that holds the rear end to the trailing arms on a 72 C/10 frame. A 1" socket is too small and my 1 1/8" socket is too big. Is it a 1 1/16"? I want to try to either buy or borrow one tomorrow to take the rear out from under the frame.

Yep, 1 1/16"... Just went outside and checked. Also, have you soaked those nuts down with penetrating oil yet? When I had to removed mine they wouldn't budge and I had to cut the u-bolts off. Hope it goes easier for you.

Re: U bolt nut size
i used 1-1/8" on the old and new bolts when I did mine on the weekend. Also had to use a 3 foot snipe to break them loose.
