New Website
Well it's mostly finished. I just need to work on the picture gallery and continue updating the link page as you send me your links.
Thanks to Scott, I have quite a few of them on there already. If you want to check it out, I'd love your feedback. www.digitalcampground.com/chvchk

Looks good Heather. I like the graphics. It looks womanly.
Something I noticed though. In IE 6, I have a horizonal scroll bar on the "thetruck.html" page. I checked the frame and only thing I can see causing it is the top table is set at 100% of the window. The others are set to 80%. I know this shouldn't have anything to do with it, but it's all I see different. But, in Netscape, the bar isn't there. When I work on my site, I use both IE and Netscape to make sure everything is compatible and loads correctly. I also try it in different screen resolutions. Did you use Frontpage to build it? BTW, I really love the link image map. Really cool. This could be the reason the page loads different. Netscape and IE don't really get along too well. They both use stuff in different ways. Oh, I was going to say something about the Stockdale. Thought it might have been a trim level I'd never heard of. Keep up the good work lady.

Thanks Mike, I'll check out that table.
NO NO Frontpage. This is all hand done html. I use homesite for checking everything but I like to do everything by hand using notepad or wordpad. Yeah, I need to get Netscape...I hate that browser but I need to use it for verifying my sites. I also have my screen on a high res but I didn't have a scrollbar when I checked the lower res. I'll check it out again.

Only thing I use Netscape for, besides checking the site is Composer. Netscape has a built in program you can use to edit/design pages in WYSIWYG. Comes in real handy sometimes.
BTW, I use version 4.78. I refuse to use anything newer. Mike |

There is a town near here called Stockdale, so I thought it could be correct...
I don't really like sites with frames, but that is just a matter of preference. I have viewed it in Mozilla at 1024X768 and it renders just fine. Hey Guys,
Thanks for your opinions Mike, The table widths had nothing to do with the scroll bar at the bottom. What was causing it were my two engine pictures side by side. I dropped one below the other and the scroll bar is gone. I have a 19" monitor and view my resolution at 1152x864 so a page can get pretty wide before I see a scroll bar. I checked it at 1024X768 and it was still good. If anyone is using 800X600 resolution they will see a scroll bar but that resolution is quickly becoming a non-standard with the larger monitors becoming more and more affordable so I build my pages to best be viewed at 1024X768 and everyone else will just need to scroll About the page looking "womanly"....I think I would've scared a lot of you if it looked too masculine....am I right? I'm going to try to finish my gallery and load the gauges back up over the long weekend. I'm also designing my dad's website for his business so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to get done to mine.

Great looking site Heather,
It's great to hear that you and your hubby (and your daughter) are in this together, learning as you go. I'm impressed. Keep up the GREAT work and keep having fun. |

Ahhhh....I understand now
That's a good idea. I could add a section for friends trucks in my Gallery when I get it done. I'll post a request for pics when I get ready to do that.

Heather,
that fixed it. The womanly comment wasn't meant in a bad way. It was my strange way of complimenting. Mike, not taking anything away from Heather, but if you would stop in at my site every once in awhile, you would see I have what you are wanting. I've got a section set up for my online friends trucks. Even has your own page. Check it out and send me your pics.

Looks great Heather. I need to learn more on Dreamweaver to get a new site for mine once I get new pics done.
