Anyone with a Gennie Shifter in their truck?

Im about to purchase one for my 64 when I put my 200R4 in it. Anyone put one of the 23' or 28' shifters in their truck? Did you get a swan or straight stick? Trying to figure out what will fit right in the truck.

Thanks.

Re: Anyone with a Gennie Shifter in their truck?

I have a Gennie NOT installed.........it is a 23 with the lean back down low...I bought it at the SW Goodguys show on the recommendation of the guy from Gennie.......he said he used it in a 70 with a raised engine/tranny combo. I dont know if it was a bodydrop or what.... said the shifter was about as high as the top of the dash in his truk....he said it did not hit the dash which was one concern I had. Good luck Jeff

Re: Anyone with a Gennie Shifter in their truck?

I just installed the 28" shifter in my truck and its sweeeeeeeet! Ill try and take pics for you before the weekend is out, only issue I have with the kit is that the gear notches are super close now. Gotta know your spots so you wont be cruising around in low gear. Over all though is really really nice kit and looks awesome installed...I was sketched at using the 28" at first than the swan...but once installed Im totally satisfied.

Is it the standard 28? Or the swan? Id like to see some pix. Very curious as to where the top of the shifter will sit.
