Blazer tank install??
So on to the next project. I have a 72 GMC fleetside, and am wanting to do the Blazer tank install. I have read some of the posts about this, but still have some ??? What years on the tank and sending unit? I am considering the Colemans Surplus unit, but what sending unit should I purchase. I have a 350 sbc. Where can I purchase a fuel filler door for the bed floor? What size fuel line to run back to the tank? I currently have 2 lines coming out of my sending unit, what do I do with the other small line? Thanks guys!! Between all of you, you guys know it all.

Re: Blazer tank install??
Frizzle fry posted a thread showing how he installed his tank (military surplus tank), and rokcrln posted alot of info in his "low buck" thread.

Re: Blazer tank install??
I ran 3/8" fuel line. The second line you have there must be to the charcoal canister with which I have no experience, but I know the info is here somewhere. I'm sure it's just a matter of extending it.
and...Here's a link to some fuel door info . . |

Re: Blazer tank install??
I just got my tank from colemans, It came with a lot of surface rust inside and out. but it is saveable. What do you want for $25 dollars . I am going to bookmark all the threads about this install.

Re: Blazer tank install??
Hmmm... Mine had caps that actually did their job so the inside was clean. A little tank flush from the parts store might do the job.
