4 inch lift and driveshafts
A friend of mine has a `85 K10 305 700r4 and NP 208 case I think. Anyway he`s thinking of putting a 4 inch suspension lift in and was wondering if the driveshafts were gonna need lengthened...any replies would be appreciated. Thanks

After 3 inches you are kind of pushing the limits. Even if you dont have a longer drive shaft its killer on the u-joints. Especially with big tires

Nope. No offense to Hooter but a 4 inch lift is fairly standard on our trucks. I have done/seen numerous ones with no suspension/steering mods.
Heavy-Duty off-road use would change my opinion somewhat but the basic premise remains the samse. IMHO, for average service, you can run 35s with 6 inch lift or 35s with a body & suspension lift.

well ususally 4inches you dont have to mod anything. ive seen 4inch suspension lift with 35 tires and no steering, driveshaft, or any other mods at all. once you go past 4 inches is usually when you have to start messin with stuff

Thanks for the replies everyone...I guess I forgot to mention hes just wants it up in the air for looks rather than actual hardcore offroading so it sounds like it should work for him.
