where are freeze plug(s)? Would they leak water?

Finally fired up '71 lwb c-10!! - '68 chevy 327 w/th350. added water to a dry radiator and found the new water running out of both sides of what I think is in the back of block - very symmetrical. egine was not running at the time. Any thoughts on what to look for in the AM? Appreciate your help.

Freeze plugs are on both sides and in the rear of the motor. Two in rear and three on each side(I think). And yes they would leak water.

was it by chance comeing from the center of each side? (block drain plugs)

I find it odd that you would have frost plugs bad on both sides.

Block drain plugs - do they screw in and out? do they go bad/corrode like freeze plugs or can they be loose to cause a leak?

yes they screw in and out, and yes they could be loose and leaking, they do get corodid just like the rest of the cooling system but they dont exactly go bad like freezeplugs do
