Brake Problems
I haven't worked much with brake systems before, but here is my problem...When sitting at a stop light the pedel softens the truck starts rolling an you have to push the pedal nearly to the floor, if you let off and press down again it catches like normal....this dosn't happen every time, but it would be a bad thing if this happened when i was trying to stop while moving, any one have any ideas of where i should start looking for the problem..

sounds like the master cylinder is worn out, allowing brake fluid to slip by the piston.... replace the master cylinder, bleed the brakes and you should be good to go, or stop in this case...

you either have bad master cylinder, or the shoes on front or rear are waaaayyyyy too far away from the drums, Ei the self adjusters threads have frozen a long time ago and shoes have not been kept spread out to near the drum surface. therefore takes a coupel pumps to make the master clinder pump out enough fluid to push the shoes out far enough
