Headlight Problems...Help Needed!!!
Ok i put in my new Euro lights and harness from LMC truck just last month. They have been working great but something odd happened. The lights turned on when every thing was off and the only way to turn them off was to disconnect the battery. so any clue what the problem might be? could it be maybe the switch got disconnected somewhere? also at first the bright lights would not work and the whole bulb would shut off. But the dims work fine. and clue to what might be wrong? thanks guys

Check the headlamp switch and the dimmer switch on the floor for starters I would think.

messed up relay, or the relay isn't wired properly.

Re: Headlight Problems...Help Needed!!!
I had actually missed that part. That could be a bad relay, or a messed up dimmer... but the part about the headlights staying on.... that totally sounds like a bum relay.
And after seeing some of the cheap relays that come in some of these kits, I wouldn't be suprised. I say pop the relay out, drive over to NAPA, and ask them for a relay. If it fixes the low beams, then try putting it in the high beam side... if it fixes that, go back in and get a second one. |

Re: Headlight Problems...Help Needed!!!
i had the same issue with my 66 chevelle. it was a stuck dimmer switch on floor.it would stick in between hi/low and cause the lights to do what they wanted to. they even went out on my a the road at 3 am on the way home from work.i drove 5 miles in the dark, scary.they came on when i shut the chevelle off.

Re: Headlight Problems...Help Needed!!!
What did these euro lights and harness look like (pics would help) ?, were there any relays (little black cubes) with it? You are right our trucks did not come from the factory with headlight relays, but some aftermarket wiring setups have them. If you put it in you should know.
If everything worked right for a month and now don't work and there are no relays I would check all the wiring and connections (for loose connection or short).

Re: Headlight Problems...Help Needed!!!
It is the eurp lights LMC has been advertizing. also the harness they encourage you to buy to go along with the lights...so if the relays bummed how could you tell because yes there is 2 little box thingies.....al
