There are all kinds of ideas. Spray clear coat paint, use the ZOOPS sealant, use car wax, etc.. I have the ZOOPS sealer at my home and I have yet to go out and try it. The metal has to be polished washed and wiped clean, then mix this stuff with demineralized water and treat the metal. I have started cleaning my stuff with mothers aluminum poish and finsihing with the Mother's Billet polish (to get a mirror finish), then I use the metal sealant that I mentioned above theat I get from "Wizards". IT does not last forever, but I get more than a year out of my engine parts and the wheels that I work on are good for a whole year's time. I do not have large investment in this either.
