Re: Are these the correct spindles for 73-87?

I'm not sure it they're 2 1/2" or 3" drop spindles. Maybe, someone running Bell Tech drop spindles can verify the part number. From what I can tell, I don't think that they're for 73-87 trucks. They may be for the 71-72 models.
Maybe you can check with Bell Tech (1.888.712.8811) if all else fails.

Re: Are these 3" drop spindles for 73-87?

It looks like the number cast in the spindle is 31200. Looking for that number in the BellTech PDF catalog I come up with 3120 - 71-72 1/2 Ton Chevy C10 3" drop.

Re: Are these the correct spindles for 73-87?

Guys, I believe these are not the conventional Belltech drop spindles, because they look nothing like eachother, but these do look exactly like the ones GMCPauls sells.

I am not sure what you mean by that exactly? Are you saying Bell makes a spindle for GMCPauls?
It is clearly cast with the Bell logo on it.

Re: Are these the correct spindles for 73-87?

Bell tech only makes 3" drop spindles for our trucks...so if you are sure these are for a 73-87, then they are 3" units. Remember, they make two different 3" spindles, one for 1" rotors, the other for 1.25" rotors.

Rc 415 -
I don't think that I'd go by the picture. It looks as though they use that image as a picture for some of their other non-73/87 drop spindles. BTW, I believe the 71-72 trucks used only the 1 1/4" rotors. I still tend to think that they're non-73/87 drop spindles. But, I'm not sure.

I thought that Bell Tech's first offerings for drop spindles for these trucks were only 2 1/2". I've thought that for the longest time. But, it seems that make only 3" drop spindles as you mentioned. Uhmmmm......

Marcus, Western Chassis makes 2.5" spindles, perhaps you were thinking of them?

Re: Are these the correct spindles for 73-87?

I have a set of the same part number that I boiught at a swap meet. Call Belltech and give them the dimensions of them. I called about mine and they said Yes that they are for 73-87 with 1.25" brakes. The part # on mine was 31200 as well.
