Am I being too picky ?

my truck only has a little amount of rust it is in the middle of the bed where they had a fifth wheel mounted but when i got the truck someone already had welded a peice of sheet metal over the rust spot. so now i have to do some work to the bed but theres no rust at all on the cab or anywhere else just that one spot on the bed.. california desert is good. LOL

they are out there but yes they are prone to rust in those areas. I bought an 84 GMC 5 years ago,clean as a pin, every option and just beautiful. Had 1 respray in its life. I parked it outside for 1 winter and that spring it had rust in the corners, rockers and over 1 rear wheel. I know it had not been fixed before because I am doing the body now and am dealing with virgin metal and have found no remnants of any body work at all and I am REAL picky. I have 4 hrs blocking one fender and I think it needs it again. The quality control those years was awful!
