50th Anniversary Owners

I'm now confused. I was just cleaning the big block Longhorn yesterday, getting ready for paint. I found the original sun visors and they are ivory! Both of my other ORIGINAL 50th trucks have gold sun visors...what gives? What color are your visors? Did they switch off.

I have never seen a complete description of the 50th Anniversary package and have lots of literature including the 1968 GM restoration guide that also fails to mention it. Anyone have some better info on this package? I even have the GM sales promotion and 35 mm movie presentation on how to sell it, but nothing about exactly what it included.

Re: 50th Anniversary Owners

Hmmmmmmm....Andy...my production number is 61238 from Fremont. I believe that it was bracketed by another 50th on here and my other Longhorn. I am now wondering if they might have been replaced but the truck is spotless and almost no rust (CA truck). The mounts are gold. No big deal...just curious.

Re: 50th Anniversary Owners

No chance on fading. That vinyl is white or gold all the way through. Interesting...two sets of whites. cstm68, Were your brackets gold?

Question Re: 50th Anniversary Owners

did they make a 67 suburban. if so, it just because I was wondering. because the original color of mine was a goldish color with a white top.
