wheels wont fit
I have access to a set of mid 90's chevy 16" truck wheels. I want to put these on my 68 but the center hole is too small. Can this be machined to a larger diameter and where would I have that done in the Dallas area?

yea, when i was working at a local tire shop a guy came in with a set of wheels for his van that he wanted put on but had the same problem you are. he just went to a machine shop and had the holes enlarged, i think they charged like $10 per wheel. good luck

Be sure to check the backspace on the newer wheels.
The later style wheels have a different offset than the ones on the earlier trucks. The ones that I have seen just don't seem to look right. But they are relatively easy to find and moderately priced. Be sure and check that they will all fit on all axles and don't forget the spare. There is a wheel manufacturer in Dallas over near the bulk mail center on I-30 near Westmoreland. Before committing to the wheels I would try to find someone with that type on their truck and take a long hard look to see if that is the look that you want. southwest Wheel Company

Yeah, those later model wheels have big-time backspacing, like 4-5 inches. You probably need only 3.5" or so.
