How does the ignition switch come out? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I want to take the key switch out of my truck. Anyone know the trick? I know that the wiring comes off the back, but how do I get the chrome ring off the front, over the chrome key hole guard?

There's something to be said about making it 6 years on this board without asking that question. I asked it on week one.
