Re: Engine Color

I also wanted to go with chevy orange. But I thought it was a little plain for a show truck so I went with a custom PPG copper color. Its orange but just alittle mor custom, Let me know what you think

Do you repaint the oil filter every time you change it? Looks good though.

Whatīs the bottle for? Is that a counter weight or just beer?

My friends, all GM drivers, are always dreaming of Charger and Hemi and because at the time I couldnīt get Chevy orange for mine I bought 2 cans of Hi Temp Hemi Orange and a Primer. I think it looks pretty good. I would rather had the Chevy orange though. Maybe I will get a can before I put the engine back in.
What do you all think, Leave it or get the chevy orange?

I've heard the rumor as well. Not why I did mine black - I like the motor when it is the same color as the vehicle

Re: Engine Color

On my chevy I used the Duplicolor High Temp chevy organge that comes in a spray can. But on my dad's 38 Ford coupe we painted the 302 engine and C4 trans to match the car which is a PPG Laguna Green epoxy enamel after spraying the epoxy primer.
