subwoofers
What kinda subwoofers fit under the seats of our trucks? I was thinking of getting a pioneer 12" shallow but i dont know if that's gonna fit. I was thinking about blocking the seat up but i was just wondering if anybody had a better idea. Also i have to put my deck in there but i dont wanna cut the dash, what are my other options?

Not trying to be a butthole or anything. This is just one of those "popular topics" I see a lot of threads covering. i put 8's under mine. The big problem is space. speakers need a certain cubic feet of box to sound the best, and there just isnt enough space. The bigger the sub, the more space needed. So i chose the smallest one's i could get to have the appropriate ft^3.

i have a single pioneer ten under mine and it barely fits with the smallest possible box that i could make out of 3/4 in mdf...

I chose a Polk Audio DB 10 because the sealed box volume is only 0.66 cu. ft. They sound great and fit tight. Not huge power, but great sound.

no woofer but, ive got 2 4 1/2in speakers, one in each door and 2 6x9s each in their own box sitting on the hump inbetween the seats (bucket seats) and it sounds killer at any volume and it sounds better than my buddys stereo in his 73 mustang and hes got a 12in woofer

If I remember I saw a center console that was built around a 10' sub a while back one of the big company's was building them I think MTX mabey????

Shoot a PM to Subtle71 (Dean). He is the local Polk Audio rep for our area. He has a few Polk woofers under the seat of his and it sounds pretty impressive.

I'm putting a single Resonant Engineering RE8 8" sub powered by an alpine mono amp under my seat plus a big 4 channel Mac Attack amp for some components up front.
