My radiator support has the lower bracket for the radiator. How can I determine whether they fit a 3 or 4 core.

i think they are in the smaller radiator position but you can always move them to the bigger one and get the brackets for the top

Those are the holes for the wider radiator. If those lower brackets are for a three row ,you will need the wider four row brackets top and bottom.

Thanks for the input. But without changing anything, which radiator fits that bracket in that position? A three or four row?

Well I would guess three row. I think four rows use the wider locations.

A six cylinder radiator is narrower and uses the inner set of holes. The V8 radiators, both 3 and 4 core use the outer set of holes. The V8 radiator is 2 inches wider than the six radiator is.

Okay, so can I just move the lower brackets and get a thicker V8 radiator or do I need to get new lower brackets?

lower brackets should fit up to 3 row standard. Move them out for a v-8 radiator. 4-row is a bit thicker bracket wise.

Ok,
Here's the deal...
the 6 cyl rad. is narrower... Modine part# 367 (or 433367) it is a 2 row, 26-1/2" wide (L to R) at the saddle mounts, only 1-1/4" thick core with 2-3/4 inches thick at the saddle... no trans cooler lines...
the V-8 radiator's... there are effectively 3 sizes available aftermarket...
All V-8 radiators are 28-1/2 wide (L to R)at saddle mount...
Modine part# 366 (or 433366) 3 row with trans cooler lines... it's 2-3/4" inches thick (front to back) at the saddle mount. it's has 2" thick core.
Modine Part# 368 (or 433368) 2 row without trans cooler lines, It's also 2-3/4" thick at saddle... it's 1-1/4" thick core. I never sell this radiator...
Modine part# 369 (or 433369)
This is a 4 row. it's 3-1/2 inches thick at the saddle... it's 2-5/8" thick core. This has trans cooler lines.

my radiator supply company does not list a 4 row without cooler lines. they may exist somewhere, but I guess the theory is without a Auto trans, 3 rows is sufficient...

It would appear your saddles are in the 6 cyl (26-1/2") location... So,... you should be able to move your saddles out to the V-8 (28-1/2") location and purchase a 3 row (2-3/4" thick at saddle) radiator...
