clean and seal frame
Want to cab off and clean and seal frame. Any product better than the next? Prime and paint? Air craft paint? No powder coat, too many $$$$.

i know alot of people use por 15 or eastwoods product. i used a regular epoxy paint. seems really durrable to me and was about have the price

I used some PPG paint: ALK-110/ALK-201 Industrial alkyd Enamel
The link to the product information is below. http://www.ppg.com/cr-refinish/phase...indProduct.asp A buddy of mine at a big body shop in Houston turned me on to this product. He has used it on several frame offs and has had nothing but good results from the product. I can tell you, the paint goes on really easy, and sticks to anything and everything. However, this is a type of paint you want to apply in a booth or outside where you don't mind overspray laying down.

A great low-buck way to clean it is with easy-off oven cleaner. It takes it right down to the metal!

I just ordered the stuff Ace sugested so i'll post some pics when min is done also.. I'm just degreasing, pressure wasing and using a 4" wire wheel to clean my frame.. I think in some spots i might have to break out the old craftsman sand blaster but i think the majority i can get with the wire wheel..
