Re: know where i can get a cheap radiator?
Summit has a cheap universal radiator, and since yours is a 4 spd, its even cheaper, around 170. Fits perfectly in the lower mounts, you just need to fab some brakets for upper mounting. I can snap some pics of mine if ya want me too.

Re: know where i can get a cheap radiator?
I'm not using a shroud, and everything appears to be staying cool.
Temp gauge says I'm running around 165* w/ a 180* thermostat. |

Have you checked at Autozone or O'Reilly's yet? I hate to suggest them, but they do have inexpensive radiators, with a lifetime warranty.

Re: know where i can get a cheap radiator?
I've installed an '88 chevy fullsize PU radiator and shroud. Mine came with the engine for a customers project so it was free to me but, it should be cheap and easy to acquire. Basicly a direct bolt in. I made simple brackets from angle to mount the bottom of shroud. Been on the truck for 13 yrs with no problems.

Re: know where i can get a cheap radiator?
Sure, The first two are the overall rad/shroud mounting. The next two are the bracket viewed from the top down. Last is from the ground looking up. Nothing fancy here, just two pieces of angle welded into a Z shape and welded to the core support. It is then bolted to the bottom of the shroud (which is also the radiator mount for the top and bottom). This is an '88 model rad/shroud combo. It is the first year for the redesigned PU, its probably a little different than your previous version. Its always trial and ERROR. LOL
