Instrument cluster

On my 1970 GMC 1/2 ton the chrome around the outer edge is worn off in spots, is this a chrome paint or what? What is the best way to bring it back to life. Also the bench seat in my truck is vinyl with a cloth inlay,I can find a new cover in all vinyl but not cloth and vinyl with scroll pattern any places I might try.
Thx Bstang

Re: Instrument cluster

are you talking about the dash or outside?

go to a seat covering place (auto upholstery) shop thay will hook you up with stock looking covers. won't be cheap. but i don't think thats what your looking for right?

Sorry this would be the outer edge of the insturment cluster inside and around where the guages are. Also the bench seat I can obtain an all vinyl repo seat cover and was told that the all vinyl was used on the higher end trucks and cloth/vinyl was used on the lower end trucks,so can anyone hook me up with a supplier.
