Motor mounts for '69 SBC

...I posted a thread on the parts board, but I haven't gotten the overwhelming response I thought I'd get, so here I am.

I think I need new motor mounts for my 350 in my '69. The existing ones bolt to the engine like normal, but then the mount itself bolts to the tower with one larger bolt through the center.

The reason I need new ones is mostly because they look like they're in bad shape, and the passenger side bolt didn't want to tighten, so I think it's stripped.

I looked up some new ones from Energy Suspensions, but they don't have the bolt through the center. Any ideas? I'm about to just call NAPA and see what they have.

Napa should have them in stock. Before you install them though you want to check the holes for allignment, either on your motor or with the ones you are taking out. I have purchased several motor mounts in the past and it would seem that no two are the same. At least that is at Schuck's Auto Supply.... Many a man has cussed for many hours to try to get motor mounts that weren't punched correctly only to wind up modifying there motor towers for part that was wrong to begin with. Checking the hole possition will save you much greif, as I am sure that some other on this board can attest to. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

I have run into the same issues on motor mounts.......also to look at the towers, the holes dont allow for much of anything being "off". Whenever I have the engine out of one of these trucks, the holes in the towers are drilled to 5/8 " just to ease alignment on reassembly.......IMHO, the factory should have done it that way.......
