Tilt Column Install Questions

After more than a year, I have finally got my tilt put back together and is ready to install. This is going into a 4x4 Blazer, but I thought it would get more attention in the truck section. First question: How in the heck do you get the indicator all of the way down in the housing, mine is sticking out about one-half inch??? Secondly, is there anything that I need to know beforehand or does anyone have any suggestions about the installation of the column? After the old column is removed, this one should bolt right in??? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks David

Re: Tilt Column Install Questions

The indicator should stick out some as the curvature changes so that it can hook into the indicator housing. As you move the tilt up or down the indicator will ride with the indicator housing when it is in place.

You did not indicate if the tilt is a truck or van but if it is a truck it will bolt right in.
