A Nudder Nube Question

Keep in mind, learning as I go.

Stock 350.

Adjusting the valves as they are rattling pretty good. I've got the service/shop manual and it basically lays it out step by step with one minor fact missing. How do I identify which valves are for Intake and Which are for exhaust. Also, I am assuming the following pattern for identifying the valves for cylinders 1-8

1 is 1st right when facing the motor from front of truck
2 is 1st left when facing the motor from front of truck
3 is 2nd right when facing the motor from front of truck
4 is 2nd left when facing the motor from front of truck

etc etc etc . Am I correct on this?

Now, if anyone knows which valves are intake and exhaust, stock heads, stock exhaust etc.

Thanks

Re: A Nudder Nube Question

With your valve covers off, just look at which valve lines up with each intake and exhaust port on the int. and ex. manifolds.
Cyls 1 3 5 7 are on the drivers side 2 4 6 8 pass side. Parts are designated by driver side or pass side.

Re: A Nudder Nube Question

Well, look at the heads, and find the valves that line up with the ports on your ramhorns or your header tubes, and there's your exhaust valves. Hope this'll help you out there. Justin
