exhaust question
I'm in the process of putting a dual exhaust system that dumps in front of the rear tires on a lwb 72. I was hoping to include a crossover but my concern is if I choose that option the system will have to be dropped below the frame which isn't an option. All I want to see is the tips dumping at the tires. Has anyone been able to put a crossover and have the system tucked under the truck so you can't see it from the side. Pics would be great

Re: exhaust question
There was a truck on the 2000 Power Tour that had his exhaust running throught the frame at the front under the floor boards and then run along the outside of the frame and turn out at the wheel wells. He had built round tube gussets into the frame in that area for support.

Re: exhaust question
It can be done. I don't have any pics of my old system but I had it come from the headers outside the frame rails under about where the seats are then out in front of the tires.

Re: exhaust question
Whoops I found a pic. Look close and you'll see the tip coming out underneath the step in front of the tire.

Re: exhaust question
that is 2 1/2" pipe , you could run 3" , but it will get close with a 5"drop . mine has 7"s of drop right now . make sure that the bed is mounted , shocks, etc. space gets tight quickly , so make sure every thing is were you want it. good luck , mike
