Re: Bucket Seats?

Looks nice. I personally would remove at least the outside arm rest for each seat...and maybe all of them for that matter.

Re: Bucket Seats?

Nice!

Personally, I like the arm rests. As someone who commutes 35 miles one way to work on one of our trucks, a good arm rest would definitely come in handy.

What are the seats from, and how did you do the brackets? Are they adjustable front and back?

Re: Bucket Seats?

Both ajustable front and back, they are almost all the way back in that pic, also ajustable recline position. Out of a 89 burb Bought em saturday put em in monday. Brackets, I took 4 from some bench seats and bolted em up to the seat.

Re: Bucket Seats?

Did you lose any leg room compared to the bench seat? I would like to do something similar, but I'm afraid I would lose leg room that I can't spare. I'm 6'2", and have to keep the bench all the way back. The fact that you are able to put that toolbox back behind the seat tells me that you probably lost some room.

Re: Bucket Seats?

Gained legroom actually, you can mount the brackets onto the buckets with the seat further back!

Re: Bucket Seats?

I like them and it sounds like you had a fairly easy time putting them in. Did you use the original mounting holes and then drill the floor to bolt up the second set of rails? I'm thinking 60/40 split bench using two sets of original seat rails.

Re: Bucket Seats?

I used the original mounting holes n the front of the bucket, but o the back I made new ones. Only had to drill the floor in the back to bolt up the second set of rails.

Thumbs up Re: Bucket Seats?

Looks good.....like the armrests.....
Personally, I'd cut the backs down enough so you didn't see the headrests from the back of the truck, through rear glass.....never liked seats sticking up like that....(probably just me ) Although yours don't stick up too bad........
